Against the backdrop of these energy market trends, Japu Cables has recently undertaken numerous projects involving the manufacturing and installation of grid-connected lines using Direct Current XLPE cables.
The advantages of DC transmission cables lie in their capability for “long-distance” and “high-capacity” power transmission. Additionally, compared to oil-immersed insulated cables, DC XLPE cables insulated with cross-linked polyethylene are more environmentally friendly. As a leader in this field, Japu Cables has pioneered operations globally, achieving normal operation and polarity reversal of transmission voltage at extreme conductor temperatures of 90°C (20°C higher than previous standards). This advancement enables high-capacity power transmission and introduces innovative High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cables capable of altering voltage direction (polarity reversal and changing transmission direction) based on the application of DC grid-connected lines.
